College Club Sports

Club sports are more than a way to play a sport. They let you work on leadership skills, as you’re tasked with the decision making, organization, and supervision of the club. While graduate students, faculty, and staff also can join club teams, many leagues require a certain percentage of full-time undergraduate students on the roster.

Choose from over 15 club sports across three club tiers, ranging from highly competitive to more casual competition.

  • Badminton
  • Baseball
  • Men’s Basketball
  • Women’s Basketball
  • Equestrian
  • Esports
  • Figure Skating
  • Men’s Ice Hockey
  • Women’s Ice Hockey
  • Lacrosse
  • Polo
  • Men’s Rugby
  • Women’s Rugby
  • Soccer
  • Squash
  • Tennis
  • Ultimate Disk
  • Volleyball
  • Yoga

Don’t see your sport on the list? As an undergraduate business school, we encourage students to use what they learn in and out of the classroom to pave their own way. In true Babson entrepreneurial fashion, you can start a new club.

Undergraduate Intramural Sports

Intramural sports let you play sports and other games on a more recreational basis. A mix of men’s, women’s, and coed teams, depending on the sport, also include graduate students, faculty, and staff. Current Babson intramural sports include:

  • Basketball
  • Badminton
  • Board Games
  • Dodgeball
  • Indoor Futsal Soccer
  • Coed Outdoor soccer
  • Softball
  • Volleyball

Can’t Decide Intramural Sports Versus Club Sports?

At Babson, there’s little difference when considering intramural sports versus club sports. Club sports provide more of a competitive atmosphere, while intramural sports are more recreational. Both club sports and intramural athletic opportunities are a great way for high school athletes to continue their athletic passions while pursuing their business degrees.

College Fitness

There are so many ways to stay active, including going for a run or walk around campus (one of the perks of a beautiful campus). Plus, you have free access to exercise, dance, martial arts classes, and more.

Breaking a Sweat While at Babson

Not many people can say they have a state-of-the-art fitness center in their backyard. Babson students can. Check out the student exercise facilities on campus.

Len Green Recreation and Athletics Complex

The Len Green Recreation and Athletics Complex is where you’ll find the Staake Gymnasium with two full basketball courts and Lunder Fitness Center with all the free weights and machines you need to get in a good workout. If you prefer getting in your workouts in the water, Morse Swimming Center has free swim hours.

The Babson campus is also home to a variety of facilities, including eight hard tennis courts with lighting, softball field, rugby pitch, soccer field, baseball field, a turf field for lacrosse and field hockey, and a practice field.

Babson Skating Center

Home to the Babson College hockey team, the Babson Skating Center offers skating classes, as well as public skate hours. Babson students skate free with their college ID. It’s the ultimate spot to embrace winter weather or to cool down on a warm spring day.
